Police are investigating an incident at Coogee beach in which three thirteen-year-old girls were attacked, allegedly by a group of teenage girls.

Police allege the young girls were attacked after a verbal altercation with a group of around 15 girls turned physical, with the victims allegedly being punched and kicked to the ground.

Three girls, aged 13 to 17 have been arrested.

The mother of one of the victims told Millsy and Karl on 6PR Breakfast her daughter and her friends are recovering.
