The passing of Tina Turner has left a profound impact across the world, yet those who knew her say it was “inevitable” that she would pass after suffering from a long-term illness.

Music journalist and Rolling Stone contributor Greg Kot told Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings the singer made an indelible mark on the music industry that would “outlive us all.”

“She was a remarkable woman, and a remarkable artist as well,” Mr Kot said.

“I think the one thing Tina always understood was hard work.”
