Tobacco giant forced to sell UK inhaler company at a huge loss
Marlboro maker PMI bought Vectura in 2021, and medical experts have successfully advocated to separate the cigarette and inhaler companies due to concerns about a conflict of interest.
Vincent So from the Thoracic Society of Australia spoke to 6PR Mornings host Sean Cowan about his concerns regarding what PMI will now do with that technology.
“We don’t want taxpayers inadvertently paying money to a tobacco company because in the past, this is what was happening,” he said.
