Eagles coach Adam Simpson has confirmed Tom Cole will be out of action until the back end of the season after suffering a serious ankle injury.

The coach said Cole is roughly two weeks into six weeks of immobilising his injury.

Simpson told Adam Papalia on WWOS the original time frame of 12-15 weeks was only a rough estimate.

Dom Sheed has also been ruled out, however, Simpson is hopeful the midfielder will be good to go for round eight.
