The boss of community organisation RUAH holds concerns a newly approved shelter in Northbridge might not sufficiently meet the needs of vulnerable women relying on its services.

The City of Perth has voted in favour of re-establishing a temporary facility at RUAH’s engagement hub on James Street following months of disagreement over its funding and location.

Deb Zanella told Gary Adshead onĀ 6PR Mornings RUAH needs a partner who works collaboratively.

“These are women who are sleeping on the street for years escaping violence, and so it’s not like there just coming in to have their teeth cleaned,” Ms Zanella said.
