Treasurer Scott Morrison believes now is the best time to build the Perth Freight Link, with low construction costs on the other side of the construction and mining boom.

On the campaign trail in Perth, Mr Morrison told Gary Adshead, the PFL is a critical infrastructure project, that will connect products and markets.

A decision on the State Government’s appeal against a Supreme Court decision to overturn the Environmental Protection Authority’s approval of Roe 8 is not expected for some time, but the Treasurer doesn’t believe the project is an environmental risk.
