Truancy to be ‘straightened out’ with camping and coding
The Liberal National Party plans to reduce youth crime rates by taking phones off kids who skip school and sending them to camps where they will canoe and learn coding.
Adam Voigt, Education & School Leadership Expert, explained to 6PR Breakfast hosts Millsy and Karl why he doesn’t support the plan.
“What these camps, this sort of one-size-fits-all approach, do is assume that getting them out there will straighten them up, but they completely ignore the reasons they’re not going to school in the first place.” he said
