‘Trying to find a solution’: Local racing season may not go ahead due water supply issues
The racing season in Kalgoorlie Boulder may not go ahead due to the lack of recycled water supply that is required to irrigate the racecourses turf surface.
Ian Dunstan, the CEO of Kalgoorlie Boulder Racing Club told Millsy & Karl on 6PR Breakfast, ‘We’ve just received advice recently that the allocation that we’re used to will now no longer be forthcoming, and this not only has an effect to us in the racing community, but to the whole community in terms of ovals and parks and gardens and the like.’
