Turnbacks and price gouging: Alan Joyce shares what’s in store for Qantas this year
Despite being awarded Australia’s safest airline, Qantas has had multiple planes turn back due to safety concerns this month.
However, the chief executive of Qantas Alan Joyce has said the turnbacks are a sign of a good safety management system.
Mr Joyce told Oliver Peterson on Perth Live Qantas is still the safest airline in Australia.
“You’re four times less likely to be on aircraft with an engine failure with Qantas than the worldwide average,” said Mr Joyce.
