The Magpies and Panthers both capped off huge games to take the cups in their respective codes over the weekend in tense back-and-forth games.

Collingwood managed to tip an aggressive and competitive Brisbane in the AFL on Saturday, while the Panthers made history in the biggest ever Grand Final Comeback against the Broncos.

“In terms of a spectacle, Saturday was far and away better footy; what a game,” Nine News sports reporter Mark Readings said.
