The University of Western Australia has joined the Australian National University to “revolutionise” science education in schools and generate the “next generation of Aussie Einsteins”.

The launch of the Quantam Girls ands Einstein-First programs is being led by two Prime Minister’s Science Prize winners – Professor Susan Scott and UWA’s Emeritus Professor David Blair.

Professor Blair told Millsy and Karl on 6PR Breakfast physics was an ideal science to teach young people due to its expansiveness and relative simplicity.

“You don’t have to be a genius to understand it; everyone should, because if you don’t you get all sorts of crazy ideas about things like 5G is bad for you,” Professor Blair said.
