‘Vile human beings’: Top cop takes aim at child predators
Police Commissioner Col Blanch has expressed concern for his officers who have been involved in hunting down child predators.
It comes after a significant number of people were charged with sex offences in timing with National Child Protection Week.
The Police Commissioner told Gareth Parker that ‘it’s extremely confronting’ for his officers, but that they are focused on finding all offenders and bringing them before a court.
“I have grave concerns around the welfare of my officers who spend a lot of their time dealing with these vile human beings,” he stated onĀ 6PR Breakfast.
“Our officers deal with them. They have to look at the material involved. They have to look at the material involved. They have to hear the stories directly from the children who have been subject to the abuse,
“That is the most difficult job I believe in the Police Force today.”
