An online petition has attracted a growing number of signatures from doctors across WA, including former national and state AMA president Dr Michael Gannon.

6PR Breastfast host Gareth Parker spoke to Dr Michael Gannon about the fast-growing petition.

“It was very human, and it recognised the fact that the preparations are in place,” he said when asked why he signed the petition.

“I was very disappointed when the premier pulled the rug from beneath two and a half million Western Australians.”

“Our day with the virus is coming, to the extent that we can control it. My opinion as one doctor is we should take the opportunity and take it now.”
