WA’s Education Department has slapped a ban on the controversial artificial intelligence tool ChatGPT across all public schools including school sites and teachers’ laptops.

ChatGPT has the ability to assist students in cheating as it can create a credible essay in seconds.

“I would question the ability for the intelligence to spew out an essay which would meet the grammatical requirements of a teacher and personally, I think if you couldn’t spot it you would be average in your diligence in marking,” Millsy said on 6PR Breakfast.
