As nurses ramp up their industrial action, the WA Police Union has also flagged looming strikes.

WA Police Union president Mick Kelly told Liam Bartlett they’ve been waiting for an offer from the State Government on their own pay dispute.

He announced on 6PR Mornings that low-level action would be implemented from Monday.

“We’ve got thousands of unpaid hours where our members are writing crime files off, filling in reports etc,” he said.

“Not claiming because they have this sense of duty,

“It’s pretty clear the government doesn’t respect us as well.”
