Principals have begun question the level and timing of information and communication they are receiving from authorities on positive COVID cases at schools across the state.

Principals Federation of WA president Bevan Ripp said they were frustrated by Health protocols regarding sharing approved information with parents about positive COVID-19 cases at WA schools.

“You’ll see more and more principals being put under pressure … because of the lag time,” he told 6PR Breakfast host Gareth Parker on Thursday morning.

“At the moment principals are being made to look like lame ducks.”

Some parents told 6PR they learnt of positive cases at their school hours before their principal was informed.
