WA tightens border to Queensland, SA amid spike in COVID-19 cases
Western Australia’s border restrictions with South Australia and Queensland will be tightened further from 6pm tomorrow.
Both states will transition from high risk to extreme risk in response to a spike in COVID-19 infections in those jurisdictions.
The change means travel into Western Australia won’t be allowed unless extraordinary circumstances are approved under strict conditions.
The change comes less than a week after both states were elevated to high risk.
NSW and Victoria remain at an extreme risk.
