Warning signs for Australia: China to attend Russia military exercises
Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping have met to discuss their relationship and combined training planning to conduct joint military training drills.
Will Glasgow, North Asia Correspondent for The Australian, told Liam Bartlett on 6PR Mornings that the meeting presents alarm bells for Australia.
“There’s a lot of dictatorial double speak in all of this,” he said.
“They’re ‘champions of democracy’, according to the readout from this meeting, and ‘they’re agents of peace’,
“In a meeting happening in month seven of Vladimir Putin’s war in Ukraine, an invasion he started.”
