WA’s housing approvals at its lowest levels in over a decade
New statistics have revealed housing approvals in Western Australia are at their lowest level since 2012, despite a major increase in population growth.
Housing Industry Association chief economist Tim Reardon told Julie-anne Sprague on 6PR Afternoons building in the state is a battle.
“We’re seeing very little work entering the pipeline due to the rise of the cash rate,” said Mr Reardon.
“Yet there is an enormous pent up demand for housing.”
