Custodial Services Inspector Eamon Ryan tabled his annual report in State Parliament on Tuesday which revealed WA prisons are currently overcrowded and understaffed leading to lengthy lockdowns and unhygienic conditions that breached human rights.

Mr Ryan spoke to 6PR Radio’s Perth Live presenter Oliver Peterson and said WA’s prison system was at “crisis point” and there was no immediate fix.
