The fresh prince of Perth radio Gareth Parker left the building after six wonderful years at the station – four in Mornings and two in Breakfast.

It was an emotional farewell, with the multi award-winning journalist’s family and colleagues packing the 6PR studios to witness his final words on air (see below).

Thankfully for us, Parker stays in the Nine Entertainment family, taking a new role as news director at Channel 9 Perth, with industry stalwarts and kids at heart, Steve Mills and Karl Langdon, taking over Brekkie duties from Monday.
