Wayne Carey is considering whether to pursue a discrimination claim against Crown Perth over its handling of an incident last month that led to his ejection from the premises after WA Police confirmed no criminal charges would be laid against the retired footballer.

Carey was in Perth for Seven’s AFL finals coverage on September 1, when Crown security escorted him from the casino and later from his hotel room after a small bag containing a powdered substance allegedly fell from his pocket at a gaming table.

The drama first played out on the 6PR airwaves last month when Crown management disputed Carey’s version of events.

Entertainment reporter Peter Ford gave 6PR Breakfast co-hosts Julie-anne Sprague and Mark Gibson the latest on the matter, and also relayed some bad news for Justin Bieber’s fans in Perth.
