‘We need leadership’: Domestic violence burden frames new crisis talks
The news of another violent and tragic death of a woman at the hands of a partner has renewed calls from domestic violence organisations for something definite to be done about the issue.
WA Police have described the murder scene of Tiffany Woodley – who was allegedly murdered by her on-again, off-again partner – as “horrific and confronting.”

Centre for Women’s Wellbeing and Safety CEO Doctor Alison Evans told Gary Adshead on 6PR MorningsĀ domestic violence continues to have such an acute and profound effect on many lives through sadly repeated events.
“The conversation hasn’t changed; we’re still sayin we need more funding and more support to match the scale of the problem,” Dr Evans said.
