‘We’re closer together’: Neighbourhood unafraid of anti-Semitic attacks
A Northern Suburbs neighbourhood is refusing to back down in their support of Israel, despite allegations of violent retaliation.
Dianella resident “Peter” told Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings his partner and some other Jewish community members had been putting up Isreali flags and signs on fences to display their support.
The result has been “convoys” of unmarked cars entering their street in the middle of the night, with the occupants allegedly vandalising their properties while shouting anti-Semitic slurs.
“It’s actually brought us closer together; anything anyone needs, we help,” Peter said.
