Western Power crews are working around the clock to restore electricity to more than 30,000 customers in outer Perth and regional WA.

Almost half of those remain in the dark, despite crews working through the night to identify hazards and fix faults.

Mundaring resident Peter Ketteridge’s house was badly damaged when a tree fell on it during Tuesday afternoon’s freak storm; he told Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings he’s now been without power for more than 30 hours.

“It was blue skies, 41 degrees; within 5 minutes the black clouds had rolled in, then the lightning and hail started,” Mr Ketteridge said.
