WA fishers are furious that the state government has decided to abandon new legislation designed to protect mum-and-dad-run businesses.

Western Rock Lobster Council CEO Matt Taylor told 6PR Breakfast hosts Millsy and Karl that “the gloves were off,” accusing the state government of lying and falsifying information.

“We are simply asking for entitlement to be secured by registration. It can’t be destroyed, it can’t be diluted, it’s transferable, and it’s protected by law. That’s not an unreasonable request,” he said.
