Westpac customers subject to new scam prevention measures
Westpac is implementing new digital payment security features as a way of combating evolving scams.
Head of Fraud at Westpac Ben Young spoke with Oliver Peterson on 6PR’s Perth Live and said internet banking is the number one way people are losing money to scams,
“What we’ve decided to do is put some questions in our app that when we see a transaction we don’t like the look of, we’re going to put a series of customised questions in front of a customer to ask a little more about [the transaction].”
