The Cook Government’s proposed Indigenous Heritage Law changes are looking to be dead in the water, with Labor MPs themselves now admitting the rollout of the legislation was badly planned.

“A farmer came and spoke to me and said, ‘Look, there is no-one I can actually talk to to make sure I’m, doing due diligence, what am I supposed to do?'” Mr MacIntyre said.
