Gary Adshead has been calling for regulation of the WA tow truck industry for the past five years.

The new Towing Services Bill 2024 has finally been announced and will regulate charges for the towing and storage of light vehicles involved in crashes in the Perth and Peel regions.

David Michael, Assistant Transport Minister, spoke to 6PR Mornings host Gary on the new bill and how it will create a safe, fair and efficient industry for drivers and towing companies.

“We’ve heard the frustration from your listeners and you on 6PR about those excessive charges,” he said.
