Where’s Paul’s guitar? $10 million music mystery hits headlines
Much like Slash’s hat and Side 1 opf Jimi Hendrix’s second album, Paul McCartney’s iconic Hofner 500/1 electric bass has entered the echelons of mysteriously disappeared music memorabilia.
Sir McCartney purchased the guitar for $38 from a Hamburg shop in 1961, and was used on a range of the Beatle’s music… until it was gone.

“He’s never seen it since, and he wants it back,” UK correspondent Enda Brady told Millsy and Karl on 6PR Breakfast.
“The company’s still in existence: Paul McCartney has contacted them and two investigative journalists to try and track it down.”
