Economic woes are one of the big factors behind a dramatic decline in adoption numbers, according to adoption agencies.

Adopt Change CEO Renee Carter told Millsy and Karl on 6PR Breakfast along with adoption rates, the availability of carer homes is much lower as well.

“We absolutely have to change, it is devastating to know that there are little children without family-based care,” Ms Carter said.
