Why Australia is having a baby boom
A new survey has revealed Australians are having more babies than a year ago, with the total population expected to reach over 39 million people by 2060.
UWA Demographer Amanda Davies told 6PR Afternoons there are many factors to Australia’s population growth.
“The economic circumstances impact the decision to have children,” said Ms Davies.
“It helps our long-term labour force security.”
