Collingwood has released an official apology on behalf of fans after the Swans and AFL shared their dislike of fans booing Buddy Franklin.

Booing players has become increasingly more common in the sport, with fans often targeting star players.

Dockers legend David Mundy told Adam Papalia on WWOS booing is not part of the game.

“I don’t condone it at all… it’s a horrible part of our game at the moment,” said Mundy.

“I shudder to think where it might get to… I’m just not sure that it’s how we want our game to holistically look.”
