The classic children’s books by famous author Roald Dahl have been partly rewritten to remove language that is now deemed too offensive.

Mrs Twit is no longer described as ‘ugly,’ Oompa Loompas are gender neutral and Augustus Gloop is now ‘enormous’ instead of ‘fat.’

Psychiatrist Dr Tanveer Ahmed says it’s absurd censorship.

“This is some of the most memorable, iconic literature in the english language to now censoring it with the view of fearing harm – is a real blight on our culture,” Dr Ahmed said.
