WA Museum Boola Bardip has raised eyebrows after acquiring a piece of perspex glass that saved an Australian masterpiece from being defaced by a climate activist.

Alec Cole from the WA Museum explained to 6PR Breakfast hosts Millsy and Karl why they decided the graffiti had a place in the museum.

“These are events that need to be documented and catalogued,” he said.

6PR’s Gary Adshead spoke to the perpetrator, Joana Partyka, a WA climate activist, asking what she thought of the WA Museum keeping the perspex for posterity.

“That outrage is better directed toward companies like Woodside,” she said
